The 2021 Narrative marks the beginning of the story — a harmonious Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot-led blend drawn from key Napa sites including Calistoga and Coombsville (notably Barking Dog Vineyard).  It presents with rich, youthful intensity: dark plum, black cherry, mocha, warm spice, and a touch of licorice. Soft yet structured tannins provide immediate appeal while promising graceful aging. This inaugural vintage captures the energetic fusion and early promise of Afterwords with classic Napa generosity and balance.
